We will remove doors if deemed necessary. This usually applies to rooms that has flooring leading into another room/hall. We do not rehang doors unless specified.
-
Our sanders require a 220v power source. If you have an electric dryer or range, it is possible for us to plug directly into those appliance outlets. If not, we would need access to your breaker box, usually located in the basement or garage (if not, please let us know otherwise). We would also require a pathway to access the panel.
-
Refinishing a floor can produce upwards of 60-80 gallons of sanding dust in a 2000 square foot project. We will leave this outdoors (preferably away from the home if possible and kept outdoors) and have your trash hauler remove it.
-
Certain floor finishes can be dangerous (and even fatal) for tiny animals such as gerbils and birds. Larger animals, though not at risk from fumes, will not enjoy the loud sanding or repeated hammering of installations and could leave them a bit traumatized. Because of this, we recommend you send them off to a mini vacation while we work on your floors. If pets must stay, they should be secured so they don't leave paw prints in your new finish. We also recommend keeping a fan in the window(if possible) in a room we have refinished to vent the off gassing of the finish.
-
Some finishes require more time to dry than others. Most of our finishes require at least one or two days before walking on after the final coat has been applied. As mentioned in our care guideline, we do recommend giving the floors at least two months prior to laying an area rug down.
